Principles of the Law of Scotland (reprint of 4th ed 1839)
In origin a student textbook Bell’s Principles of the Law of Scotland has come to be regarded as an authoritative, ‘institutional’ work, a fit companion for the works of Stair and Erskine.
This volume (published in 2010) reprints the fourth edition of 1839, the last prepared by Bell himself and containing his final thoughts on the private and commercial law of Scotland.
